In this interconnected world with information available on demand, it is important for practices to use the power of the Internet to streamline work between multiple locations and enhance patient communications.

Our Patient Communication Gateway evolved from requests from practices for a patient portal with seamless integration with their practice systems, and bringing an integrated approach to all types of communications, so that separate solutions would not be needed for appointment reminders, statements etc. Also, a viable system needs to support legacy technologies like mail and phone calls, as well as state-of-the-art web-based communications and texting. We are constantly enhancing it to provide more and better communication between providers and patients. Our vision is for Patient Communication Gateway to be a centralized clearinghouse for all patient-provider communications.

Physician Dashboard

A large billing service wanted to give providers transparent access to the billing process. Micro-Office Systems built a web dashboard where providers can log in and check the billing status of patient accounts. The provider can view demographics, insurance coverages, coding status, charges, and payments. The provider may also view the document images associated with the account.




Coder Web Portal

When remote coders needed access to emergency room physicians’ charts to code charges, Micro-Office Systems built a web portal for scanning chart documents, displaying documents to the coder, and allowing the coder to code charges based on the documents. The coder web portal validates coded charges based on predetermined rules. Validated charges are automatically entered into the practice management system for billing.


Attorney Dashboard

An medical facility that specializes in personal injury cases wanted to streamline communication with patients’ attorneys. Micro-Office Systems is currently building a custom Attorney Dashboard for them. Attorneys will be able to log in, locate an accident case, and view charges, payments, and documentation associated with the case. The attorney will also be able to download or print an attorney statement for the case.
