The Interface / HL7 Engine

    The interface engine supports HL7 as well as other protocols and data formats.

    PCG can interchange HL7 messages from any system. The HL7 messages can be tailored to work with any other system, ensuring total interoperability with all systems. Additionally, the HL7 engine has full data mapping capabilities which further enhance interoperability.

    In addition to HL7, the interface engine can process XML files, flat files, database files, as well as medical data in CDA, CCR and CCD format.

    The interface engine is a real-time engine. PCG receives appointment scheduling changes right after they are made and allows PCG to implement advanced features such as sending out notices to all patients who have appointments in a given afternoon that the doctor is running late or had an emergency and needs to cancel his appointments.
