Not sure if you have Data Merge?

If you are not sure if you have the Data Merge Option, you can follow these instructions to determine if you have the option or not.

Instructions for version 10.1 and higher in Medical Manager
  1. Go to menu 17 (/M17) in Medical manager
  2. Select option 7 – Version / Serialization Info. If you do not see this option (ie the menu only has 5 options), you are on an earlier version of Medical Manager – see the instructions in the next section
  3. At the bottom of the screen is a section titled “LICENSED OPTIONS”. Look in the left column for “DataMerge”
  4. If it says "Y" - Congratulations! You have Data Merge. If it says "N" - you will need to purchase it from your Medical Manager dealer.
  5. Press the Escape sequence to return to the Medical Manager menu.

Instructions for versions of Medical Manager prior to version 10.1
  1. Go to any menu within Medical Manager
  2. Make sure you are in lower case
  3. type an exclamation point ("!") and press ENTER.
  4. Medical Manager should say "Enter Command Line".
  5. At the prompt, enter "mdserial su" and press ENTER. Make sure it is all lower case
  6. A screen should come up and say "Enter Directory Path for Control file or <ENTER> for ...."
  7. Press <ENTER>
  8. The Serialization Information screen will come up.
  9. In the middle of the screen, on the left-most column, you should see the "Data Mrg. Option" setting.
  10. If it says "Y" - Congratulations! You have Data Merge. If it says "N" - you will need to purchase it from your Medical Manager dealer.
  11. Press the Escape sequence to return to Medical Manager, and press <ENTER> when prompted
