The Micro-Office team brings together experts with decades of experience in the healthcare field, world class software developers, along with a reputation for excellent customer service and support.

The following is a partial list of some of the Micro-Office Systems staff:


Norman Efroymson

Chief Executive Officer
Norman founded Micro-Office in 1985. For more than 20 years Norman has guided the company through the many healthcare market changes. He sets the strategy for Micro-Office, and is actively involved in developing and maintaining partner relationships. In particular, Norman envisioned the Patient Communications Gateway and has directed its development to meet the needs of the evolving patient-centric healthcare model.

Norman is also the primary resource for consulting and software development in the legacy Medical Manager world. He has worked with The Medical Manager software since 1987, and has deservedly developed a reputation as one of the top experts in The Medical Manager. As a Data Merge programmer, Norman has developed numerous interfaces, utilities and reports, and performs conversions into, and extracts out of, The Medical Manager.

Yosef Gold

Senior Software Developer / PCG Product Manager
Yosef Gold has over 20 years of experience in the healthcare software field. Prior to joining Micro-Office, he co-founded and was vice-president of a medical computer VAR that quickly grew to become the #1 company in its field. After that business was sold, he joined another leading medical software developer in order to spearhead their transition from text based programs to Windows. Yosef has a BA in Computer Science from Yeshiva University.

Ben Levi

Business Administrator
Ben is the customer relations point person, as well as being involved in management and operations. He has been with Micro-Office since 2005, and works with Norman in business development. Ben enjoys hiking, working with people, cultivating long term relationships and a good cigar on a warm sunny day.

Dan Lowenthal

Software Developer
Dan specializes in custom report development and is Micro-Office's primary technical support contact. He is also involved in developing software applications, SQL scripts for custom database conversions and is also involved in developing new HL7 interfaces and communication utilities. Additionally, he organizes webinars and demonstrates applications for business sales and support.

Frank Peden

Project Manager
Frank manages most of the development products. This ranges from conversions and interfaces to web portals and custom programming projects. He also manages the help desk. Frank sees custom conversions and projects through from the initial business requirements discussions and project cost quote through development and delivery. In his spare time Frank plays the piano and leads a Pathfinder club, a church-based scouting club for adolescents.

Michael Post

Chief Software Architect
Michael is the primary developer of some of the engines Micro-Office Systems uses for conversions and HL7 interfaces. He also authored many of the utilities marketed by Micro-Office including the AnyReport advanced reporting tool, and other strategic projects. Michael has been with Micro-Office System since 2002 and has almost 20 years of experience as an expert software developer. His hobbies including Geocaching with his family and telling people "well, it worked on my machine".
