  This utility expands upon the MicroMD code-load utility by allowing locality selection and full calculation of allowed amounts based on RVU values. It also allows setting the fee in MicroMD by increasing the allowed amount in a variety of ways. These amounts may be set for specific insurance classes, insurance categories, financial classes, or even at the individual plan level.

  Small database utilities to clean up your data

  This utility is really a number of mini-utilities that can be used to clean your data. Modules include:

  • Zip Code Merge This will merge all references of a zip code entry into another entry. It will also automatically suggest merging based on invalid state/zip combinations as well as similar-sounding city names with the same zip code, which usually indicates a typo.

  • Procedure Code Rename / Merge Allows for procedure codes in MicroMD to be renamed or merged into other existing codes.

  • Diagnosis Code Rename / Merge Allows for diagnosis codes in MicroMD to be renamed or merged into other existing codes.

  • Plan Merge This will merge all duplicate plans.

  • Referring Doctor Merge This will merge all referring doctors.

  • Unused Plan Set Removal This will remove all plan sets that are not used.

  • Master Code Export / Import Copies various master code tables from one database to another.

  • "Just In Case" This will convert various text fields to lowercase, uppercase or mixed case (first caps).

  • Fee Schedule Copy Copies a fee schedule from one provider to one or more providers or from one plan to one or more plans.

• Refund Check Writer

  A custom utility that generates refund checks right from the MicroMD menu.

  The Refund Check Writer

  This utility will generate refund checks either for individual patients or in batch based on a number of specified criteria. Checks will be printed, and the refunds will automatically be posted in MicroMD with the check # available in MicroMD for reference. Features include:

  • Generate refund checks to either patients or insurance companies
  • Use a designer to design one or more check layouts
  • Attaches to MicroMD menu for easy access to functions
  • Combine refunds from multiple visits into a single check

• Patient Merge

  A custom utility that merges an entire patient account into another patient account.

  Like the zip code merge in AdminUtil, it suggests merging based on a number of criteria, including matching SSN or matching name and birthdate. Although patient merging is only possible in specific cases, it can be used effectively to clean up accidental duplicate accounts.

• Outlook Interface

  A custom utility that replicates the MicroMD appointment schedule into one or more Outlook clients in real time.

  This can be filtered by provider, location, etc… and there are many controls for messages formatting in Outlook, including color coding, etc….

  In addition, by using Outlook’s PDA syncing features, you can then, via a 2-step process, have the MicroMD appointment schedule updated in real time onto a physician’s PDA.

• Medical Manager Pro History Viewer

  A custom utility that displays converted Medical Manager patient information from a MicroMD menu item

  Our Medical Manager to MicroMD conversion process does not convert all of the historical data from Medical Manager procedure history into MicroMD. Instead, that data is put into an Access database called prohist.mdb, which is included with the conversion. This viewer adds a MicroMD menu option to the MicroMD application that reads a patient’s information from the Access database and displays the data for the operator. An Access ODBC driver is required, but this is free and included in most Microsoft installs and should already be present. No purchase of Microsoft Access is necessary to use the viewer.

• Medical Manager Clinical History Viewer

  A custom utility to view, edit and delete converted Medical Manager clinical data in the MicroMD environment, via a MicroMD menu option.

  Our Medical Manager to MicroMD conversion process can optionally convert over clinical history data stored in Medical Manager. If this data was chosen for conversion, the Clinical History Viewer is needed to view and edit the data. Via a MicroMD menu option, you can view all of the patient's clinical data as well as adding / editing / deleting data and creating new clinical data categories and clinical data codes.
